Why now
Three things are converging. First, operational pressure: labour shortages, regulatory demands, ageing infrastructure, and increasing expectations from institutional capital. Second, a technology step-change: foundation models and cloud-native tooling have made it possible to build enterprise-grade solutions at the earliest stages. Third, a funding gap: European pre-seed capital for built environment technology remains structurally underserved.

Team
Helen Berhane, Founder and Managing Partner
Helen has spent nearly 15 years in financial services, with 13 of those focused on institutional real estate, market data, PropTech and FinTech. She built her career at globally recognised financial services and data firms serving institutional users across real assets markets in Europe and EMEA, spanning analytics, product, and commercial functions.
Her experience spans complex, multi-stakeholder organisations including asset managers, fund managers, operators, and institutional investors. She understands from the inside how technology is evaluated, procured, and embedded in these environments, including what makes enterprise buyers in asset-heavy industries commit, hesitate, and build lasting relationships with technology providers.
Helen holds an Executive MBA from the University of Regensburg (IREBS), one of Europe's leading real estate academic institutions, where her research focused on governance, liquidity management, and regulatory change across European open-ended real estate funds.
She founded Lanthor Ventures to back the next generation of founders building technology for the built environment, bringing the institutional rigour she developed over her career to company building at the earliest stage.
